Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) unites schools, families, and community members as partners in creating a strong and successful community where each student can thrive and reach their potential. It is a structured, yet flexible framework that guides teams in the selection, integration, and implementation of evidence-based practices for improving academic, social, and behavior outcomes for all students. PBIS is a proactive approach to teaching ALL students positive skills they will use throughout their lives. This episode, the first of a four-part series, focuses on the essential role of district teams in a system-wide approach to PBIS implementation. Viewers will hear directly from a district administrator who has been involved in multi-year implementation processes and experienced challenges and opportunities for growth along the way.
