OCALI's purpose is to inspire change and promote access for people with disabilities. But how do you describe an organization that is so many things to so many people? Home to 10 distinct centers and 3 world-class online learning portals, OCALI is at the forefront of equipping parents, educators, and other professionals with the tools necessary to help people with disabilities live quality lives - at home, school, work, and in the community.
The hallmark of our work revolves around three key components: partnerships, policies, and practice. We leverage our partnerships and network to facilitate change. We influence and impact policies and how they are made. We analyze research and convert it into applicable, easy-to-understand practices so that others can flourish and be empowered.
We are guided by the principle that people with disabilities have important and valuable experiences, perspectives, and voices, and whose leadership and contributions are necessary toward building inclusive communities grounded in access and belonging. It is this belief that fuels our trajectory as an organization committed to inspiring change and promoting access.
