What is culture? The dictionary defines culture as, "the customs, languages, arts, social institutions, and achievements of a particular nation, people, or other social group.' In this episode, we explore pieces of Deaf culture by honoring the contributions of Ohio in the Deaf History timeline, diving into language development and the culturally cherished American Sign Language, and sharing Ohio resources for families and children. * The term Deaf in this abstract is used in an all-inclusive manner to include people who identify as Deaf, deaf, deafblind, deafdisabled, hard of hearing, late-deafened, and hearing impaired.
