Join the Ohio Association of Health Plans, OCALI and an amazing lineup of speakers to build your confidence, skill and ability to improve access and outcomes for people with disabilities.
The Core Competencies in Health Care Education for People with Disabilities serve as a foundation for this 10-part series. Each session provides attendees the opportunity to hear from and engage with leaders from a variety of disciplines. The one-hour roundtables include lived experience, didactic presentation, and opportunity for interaction.

Why?
- Only 50% of children who should receive an initial or periodic development screening do.
- Rates of emergency department utilization are 2-3 times higher for children with special health care needs.
- Adults with disabilities are more likely to be inactive, have high blood pressure, smoke, and be obese than their non-disabled peers.
- Nearly 75% of all Medicaid expenditures are related to disability.
