We are hiring a Project Assistant to support OCALI’s Lifespan Transition team & the Outreach Center for Deafness and Blindness team. The daily requirements of the Project Assistant role will vary widely, such as travel and fiscal management, event planning, monitoring and responding to inquiries, supporting data collection and reporting requirements, providing technical and administrative support, attending meetings and events as requested, and completing other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Self-motivation and initiative, strong independent work ethic
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proven ability to perform assigned tasks independently with a high degree of accuracy
- Proven ability to use good judgment, prioritize, and meet deadlines across multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive and private data
- Ability to approach situations and challenges with flexibility
- Ability and desire to work in a team environment and with diverse groups of people
- Experience and proficiency in fiscal management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience and proficiency with applications and online environments including but not limited to: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams/Zoom, SharePoint
- Bachelor’s degree, or comparable experience, required
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- Provide administrative support along with clerical tasks that aid the daily team operations
- Coordinate workflow and materials for deadline-sensitive tasks such as travel and mileage reimbursement
- Maintain and organize fiscal documentation, ensuring all activity is recorded accurately and evaluated accordingly
- Collaborate with fiscal team on responsibilities including but not limited to maintaining fiscal records, vendor contract preparation, purchase orders, invoices, reporting, etc.
- Plan center events in partnership with internal staff and external vendors as needed
- Coordinate in-state and out-of-state travel requests for center teams as needed
- Attend virtual and in-person meetings and events as requested
- Monitor, track, and respond to inquiries from stakeholders
- Plan and schedule internal and external meetings and events
- Support center data tracking and preparation for reporting requirements
- Prioritize between multiple and changing daily tasks while effectively managing short, mid, and long-term assignments
- Demonstrate accuracy, responsiveness, and positive communication, written and oral, with internal and external customers
- Provide positive customer service and technical assistance to both internal and external stakeholders
- Willingness to learn accessibility principles or practices as they relate to specific tools and responsibilities
- Other duties as needed

Salary: Salary range $50K to $60K, commensurate with experience.
