How to Create a Work Experience Program at Your School: Work Experience Guide
The Rural Institute: Center for Excellence in Disability Education, Research, and Service at University of Montana, with funding from the Montana Council on Developmental Disabilities Partnerships for Transition Project, created a work experience guide. This guide assists the user in understanding the intent of work experiences for students with disabilities and how to plan and implement a successful experience. Examples of implementation in school programs are included as are forms to assist in the development of an individualized plan.
Learn and Earn: Supporting Teens
In this video presentation, parents, teachers, and mentors encourage teens with disabilities to participate in work-based learning experiences. It can be used to train stakeholders to more effectively promote work-based learning for young people with disabilities. The video was produced by DO-IT, University of Washington.
