Tiered Activity Plan
History of Ohio
The study of early America begins with the population growing over time. Who came? Why did they come to North America? How did they travel? Who was already living here? How did North America become the United States? When did Ohio become a state?
Students use maps to track the travel routes and tables and charts to show the population growth across what is now the United States. Discover along the way the expanse of resources early America provided as well as the costs, benefits and sometimes scarcity that people encountered as new settlements and states began to take shape.
