Tiered Activity Plan
Calendar Money
Understanding numbers from 1-31 and their value can be challenging. Why not take the opportunity during calendar review to connect numbers and quantity using functional money skills. Students can learn about and practice skills such as counting on, coin identification, coin values, identifying odd and even numbers and counting coins to a given value. What to set a class challenge put all of the calendar money into the “bank” at the end of each month/day and find out how much money the class “saved” by the 100th day of school.
