Did you know that the skills most often reviewed during circle time or morning meeting are directly connected to Kindergarten- 2nd grade standards? The Morning Meeting unit example includes Tiered Activity Plans that teach and review concepts and skills related to daily weather, monthly calendar of events, daily schedule tracker, calendar money, counting up to the 100th of school, and provides explicit guidance for setting whole group learning expectations. The activities within these lessons can be repeated daily across the school year. Data collection tools have also been provided within the unit materials for progress monitoring and reporting on the development of these essential skills across a school year.
