High Expectations! Path to Employment! Changing Landscape!

Youth and adults with autism now see new and expanded opportunities for employment and community membership are possible! There is reason to believe a bright future is ahead. However, employment potential does not guarantee the job. Youth must be ready with the foundational skills, knowledge and experiences to facilitate movement along the path and readiness to take advantage of the opportunities available. This requires a plan and carefully selected activities, experiences, and education. It is a plan best guided by the youth with assistance and support of a team, with the focus on adulthood and career beginning well before the graduation date.
